History Brantner tipper and trailer production.

Nearly no one combines progress and tradition as Brantner does. The roots go back to a long-established forge, situated in Laa/Thaya. The company survived World War I and II and has grown from a small forge to a production site of air-tired horse trailers and further on tractor trailors. Progress and further development have been always part of the company and led it to what it is today.

The current market position (market leader in Austria and number 1 in Western Europe concerning tipper production) is due to Brantner's strong faith in its business concept and the need of progress and further development.

In terms of tradition the company is still owned and run by the family. Now the 8th generation is responsible to perpetuate quality, experience and diversity in tipper production.

The Beginning

1948

Production of air-tyred trailers.
The first tipper

1954

At this time the production of the first mechanical tipper was started. Subsequently, these were replaced by hydraulic tipper (1958).
Move

1969

Partial relocation of the shop floor in the city center to the outskirts. The first major production halls were built there.
Company foundation

1979

Foundation of Hans Brantner & Sohn Hallenbau GmbH.
Due to its extensive experience in the steel construction a further business has been established, namely the production site for industrial and agricultural halls. Develop individually, for each customer, the best solution and thereby be the first choice when it comes to realize steel construction projects. That is the Vision. More than 4,500 successful projects convince.

Generation change

1982

Ing . Hans Brantner is managing the company now. The production is constantly being expanded as well as the sales markets.
World record

1986

The longest trailer chain in the world - 580 Brantner trailers and tippers strung together yielded a world record.
Export

1993

The entry into new markets - A milestone in the history. On the German market Brantner vehicles were now available by sales representant Dieter Kress. Previously, since 1985, vehicles were produced for an other company and sold under the brand " Mengele ".
CNC Laser cutting center

2006

The first of now three laser cutting centers was purchased and thus began the efficient production of components - This leads to new possibilities in the design of Brantner trailers.
Change of generation 2.0

2015

Mag .(FH) Hans Brantner took over management of the company from his father at the end of 2015.

2018

Another milestone in the way parts are produced was set by the new acquisition.
KTL/Powdercoating

2021

In 2020, the existing surface technology plant was adapted into a KTL and powder coating plant. The conversion now enables coating of the highest quality and with the highest environmental standards. Thus, more than 70% of the previous solvents from the wet coating area are saved and the additional energy required is provided by an adjacent photovoltaic power plant.
